The Manx Telecom Parish Walk – the Island’s most popular mass participation community event - takes place each June and is much-loved by serious race-walkers and fun competitors alike.

A uniquely Manx occasion, it involves a demanding 85-mile circuit of the Island’s 17 Parish churches which needs to be completed within 24 hours. While some competitors aim for the glory of a finish, others use the event to reach their own personal goals or to raise money for favourite charities.

Manx Telecom first became involved with the Parish Walk in 2007 when we began sponsoring the electronic timing of competitors. In 2012, we became the main event sponsor, working closely with the Parish Walk Committee to provide technical enhancements – such as online live timing and free text alerts for supporters – as well as making the day safe and enjoyable for the walkers and the thousands of spectators who come out to cheer them on.
