Manx Telecom Group Launches Island-Wide AI Survey to Gauge Local Awareness and Preparedness

Manx Telecom Group, the leading telecom and technology provider on the Isle of Man, today announced the launch of a comprehensive survey aimed at understanding the awareness, usage, and preparedness for Artificial Intelligence (AI) among individuals and businesses on the island. 

The survey, being conducted by independent research specialists, Island Global Research, is open to all Isle of Man residents and seeks to gather insights on how AI is perceived and utilised in both personal and professional contexts. Participants will have the opportunity to share their views on this rapidly evolving technology and its potential impact on the local community and economy. 

Kate Hegarty, Head of Marketing at Manx Telecom Group, commented on the initiative: "As AI continues to reshape industries and daily life, it's crucial that we understand how our community perceives and interacts with this technology. This survey will provide valuable insights that will help us tailor our services and support to meet the evolving needs of individuals and businesses on the Isle of Man." 

The survey defines Artificial Intelligence as "Machines that perform tasks normally performed by human intelligence, especially when the machines learn from data how to do those tasks." It covers a range of topics, including: 

• General awareness and understanding of AI 

• Current usage of AI in personal and professional settings 

• Perceived opportunities and challenges associated with AI 

• Preparedness for AI integration in the workplace 

The survey is expected to take 5-10 minutes to complete. As an added incentive, participants will have the chance to enter a prize draw to win £100 worth of Marks and Spencer gift vouchers upon completion of the survey.

The results of this survey will be used to help Manx Telecom Group, including Synapse360, pro-actively support businesses on their AI journey.
