New canvas for New Horizon Boxing Club

New Horizon Boxing club is a non-profit community sports organisation run by volunteers. 

They approached us as part of our It’s Our Community Scheme for support to purchase a new boxing ring canvas. 

It’s a pleasure to support the team running the club who give up their time to coach young people on the Isle of Man. Getting down to meet John, and see how popular the club is, was a nice way to follow up on the financial support and we thank them for getting in touch and submitting an application.

John Cain summarised the donation saying, “With the donation from Manx Telecom It’s Our Community, we bought a new canvas for our ring. As you can expect, a gym canvas gets used regularly so they don’t last too long. It’s excellent and we were very happy to get the kind donation. We’re all volunteers, nobody gets paid, so any help from local companies goes straight back to the club to give this facility to the kids.”
